    Movie Buyer (Rental)

    Department: Merchandising
    Location: Amarillo, TX
     

    Due to our strategic initiatives for the future, Hastings Entertainment is looking to add an aggressive, talented and experienced individual to join the Movie Team as a buyer and help grow and manage the rental movie category. In this position, you will gain experience in the purchasing department, where you will begin to learn the buying process, with a primary focus on managing Hastings rental and previously viewed programs. As a member of the merchandising staff you will be responsible for evaluating and purchasing rental titles to add to or maintain our selection. Additionally you will manage our PV inventory by creating and implementing programs and promotions that drive sales while maximizing our profits. You will need to stay on top of industry trends and translate those trends (where appropriate) into competitive product offerings for our store in the marketplace.

    Responsiblities:
    • Review rental title performance and make title change recommendations to the buying team
    • Management of the PV inventory
    • Management of the Missing Titles Program
    • Management and audit of store operational reports for rental
    • Coordinate with the Merchandising Team to implement any and all rental test programs

    Human Resources Compensation Specialist

    Department: Human Resources

    As a member of the Human Resources Team, the HR Compensation Specialist is responsible for the administration of compensation policies, programs and procedures including the analysis of market salary data and reporting. They will also be responsible for incentive/bonus programs as well as company compliance with wage and hour requirements and adherence to all FLSA (Fair Labor Standars Act) legislation. Additionally, this highly organized and detailed individual will lead in the creation and execution of compensation projects.

    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma/GED (or 17 years of age and a senior in high school)

    Hastings Customer Service Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, offering assistance, offering advice on purchase decisions, and providing a clean and safe store environment for associates and customers.
